Doctrina Latina exists as a project to make Latin texts more readily available, with a focus primarily on religious texts. Beyond presenting Latin texts in accesible formats such as .txt and .pdf, care has been taken to note vowel quality by the addition of macrons. Knowing the vowel quality for a given word helps to guide the reader not only with regards to pronunciation, but also when resolving apparent semantic ambiguities, such as homographs and grammatical case for certain declensions.
